# Logix - Welcome Message

Please follow these steps accordingly to have a fully functional welcome message that looks professional and clean

1. Run the command /manage-messages and find the setting called Welcome Message
2. Press into this and it will open the embed generation for this integration
3. By standard, it will look like the photo below

4. If you want to make this look clean and professional, simply press edit description and add in the information you would like, if you wish to have a channel redirect - make sure you copy the channel link
5. Custom identifiers for the welcome message are below;

* {server\_name}
* {user\_name}
* {user\_mention}
* {user\_age}
* {user\_timestamp}
* {total\_members}

These identifiers each indicate a different option. Just add it into your embed description for it to display

5. Once you are happy with how the embed looks, press Save Message.

6. Ensure you have your welcome channel setup in the official discord settings otherwise this will not be posted when a new joiner occurs

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://logix.gitbook.io/logix-docs/logix-welcome-message.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
